Topic: "Success in any realm of life comes more often from taking chances or risks than from careful and cautious planning"
What is Success? Success is something which is achieved after a strong struggle, cautious planning, dedication of work towards something. If one wants to succeed in life he/ she should have passion and enthusiasm to achieve it . To climb the ladder of success you should be smart, candid and be assertive. So, I would say we have to be careful and cautious in planning our path which leads to success.
Be Careful and Cautious:
How can we say that taking risks can give you success? I agree it can, but what is the probability of a Win towards the probability of a Loss? Say, a man buys a lottery ticket hoping to WIN a million dollar. He buys 100 lottery tickets for $100 . The probability that he has the winning lottery from what he has bought is 1 out of 100 only if there is a winning number amongst the lotteries which he has bought. He may lose $100 or win a million dollar. Lets take this matter in a broader perspective view, Say, he loses $100 in his first attempt. Now if he again risks another $100 to win a million dollar that risk is called stupidity. The flow may foster to ‘n’ numbers. So, n times a hundred a hundred $’s is hell a lot of money.
Success is achieved only with proper planning and execution. A business entrepreneur starts a business hoping to capture the market. He/ She will not expect for high margin turnover in their revenue unless their business becomes popular. In a single night no business man has became super stars. First, he/she should plan, study the market, understand and start a well profitable business. The company prepares goals and achievement. Proper planning leads the company to way of success, also improper design may plummet the company’s reputation and revenue. Success is always achieved with a planned approach.

Lets start the discussion with a kiddy infant’s example - "A baby’s first walk". When your baby tries to step up on his/her own, you don’t stop the baby to do that. It struggles hard to take his/her first step. Once the baby succeed its challenge, the baby is all set to walk, run, Rock n Roll . If you stop the baby from facing the challenge, you defer the kid’s first walk. Generally we don’t tend to do that.
A Scientist attempts numerous test to invent a new product. In his process of testing he may encounter failures, some matter would impede the progress of their project. Taking risks might devastate the project. But without taking risks he/she cannot invent any product.
Lets look at another one: When NASA announced a ride to the moon. People laughed and protested and dismayed them that they may end up in disaster. But, NASA took risk to evade the earth’s atmosphere and also they succeeded in it. Man stepped on the moon sooner. NASA worked on possibilities of failures during the tenure of making the satellite.
They were ready to face their lifetime challenge. Now, the risk has rewarded, a new world explored and motivated the workers to put more efforts in exploring the universe. So, I would say that, we all need a spark/ risk which can motivate and strive for success.
